RSiD embarked (haha) on a comprehensive redesign and remodeling project for a 65’ racing catamaran originally built in 1996 by Kurt Hughes.
Partnering closely with the owners and the boatyard, RSiD ensured every detail requested was incorporated into the design, using a “less is more” design approach to guide the interior and exterior of the boat.
The exterior of the catamaran underwent significant enhancement, the color scheme was updated, featuring two different pinstripes that elegantly wrap the bow, accentuating the long hulls.
The rotating wing-mast and boom were painted charcoal gray, giving the vessel a distinctive and aggressive racing appearance, complementing the hull’s racing stripes. Modifications to the port and starboard Tennessee windows in the saloon and cockpit, align with the racing aesthetic as well.
The interior was transformed to a warm yet elegant ambiance, while berths and heads were repainted with a bright, warm color scheme; teak details were refinished, adding balance to the overall aesthetic.
RSiD’s extensive redesign and remodeling of the racing catamaran resulted in a visually stunning boat that combines racing aesthetics with comfort and functionality. It’s been super fun.

The F-25C is a very specialized boat, it being a roomy, ultra high performance trailerable multihull, and probably the fastest production cabin multihull of its size in the world.
First launched in 1995, the F-25C now enjoys quite a reputation as a “giant killer” on the race course. It is a kit boat built from the latest high tech materials, with technically advanced methods, to achieve the lightest possible sailing weight.
When they purchased the boat it had a “sleepy” paint scheme. RSiD worked side by side with the owners who are racers at heart to create a “racing” paint scheme. Mark the captain and owner said “I want the boat to look like it’s going 100mph when on the dock, so when we’re racing it will look like it’s going 200mph”
So, a bright sunset orange color and clever breaks in the paint at the bow that integrate to the boot stripe water-line were used to create the dynamic graphic scheme.
